It was so gratifying to finally finish all of these 64 blocks. There are 4 blocks in each set (2 positive, 2 negative), with 16 color sets (light and dark). This block design is from Elizabeth Hartman at Oh Fransson! I just redrafted it to a larger size. Now onto squaring the blocks and choosing the sashing. White or charcoal?
I’ve made slow progress on my king size quilt project. This one is for our bed. I’ve never done anything this big. So 12 of 16 block sets are complete. Don’t they look yummy! The block design is a slightly modified Paint Box block from Elizabeth Hartman. Soon I’ll need to decide on the sashing and borders.
This is the color palette I am working on for my first king-sized quilt. It will be based on the Paintbox quilt by Elizabeth Hartman at Oh Fransson. I drafted a larger block size, and will only have 16 color combinations instead of 32. Oh, and I think I am going to go with a darker sashing. Undecided right now.
